Bus Trip- May 6, 2009

Shipshewana
Flea Market and Downtown Shopping
May 6, 2009

A day of bargain hunting, browsing and lots of walking is in store for us as we travel to northern Indiana. We’ll have time in downtown Shipshewana to visit their various shops, as well as time to hit the Flea Market, packed to the top with bargains, bargains, bargains!

Lunch and dinner will be on your own, whenever you get a chance to take a break from all of your shopping. The new Mercantile Market is now open with many great shops to browse through. Everything from Lolly’s on the first floor with hundreds of yards of material to the third floor with a puppet show and carousel.

This trip is a fund raiser for the Middletown, IN Chapter Psi Iota Xi Sorority to benefit school and community projects. Come on along for a fun-filled day and to help a very worthy cause.

Cost for this delightful day is only $68 per person which covers your transportation.

Full payment with reservation form is due by April 22.

Indianapolis departure 5am, return 10:30pm.
New Castle departure 6am, return 9:30pm.

National Newsletter: Jan 2009

The National Newsletter is available here.

Local Bylaw Changes

Bylaws

We will formally accept petitions and do readings in September but petitions may be taken and informally pledged at anytime.

Standing rules

As there was no National requirement found for reading the bylaws once per year, we strike read bylaws in January.

Blue Letters

Blue stationary from the National Office will have bold highlighted areas if something need read to the membership. If not, it is the responsibility of the secretary to be informed for the chapter. State Offices are encouraged to adopt this practice also. National hopes that this will cut down on correspondence reading time.
